Yankees Option Michael King To Alternate Site
4 years agoNew York Yankees pitcher Michael King was optioned to the team’s alternate site on Tuesday. King was rocked for five runs over 2.2 innings in a spot start on Monday, and he’s likely done for the season as a result of Tuesday’s roster move. King posted a 7.76 ERA over 26.2 innings this season, and he struggled both as a starter (four appearances) and as a reliever (five appearances). King’s poor performance and inconsistent role with the Yankees makes him unattractive for fantasy purposes, but he could conceivably carve out a role in the team’s starting rotation next season and his offseason progress should be monitored as a result.
