Yankees Not Worried About J.A. Happ
6 years agoAfter a sensational stint with the New York Yankees following a trade last season, J.A. Happ re-signed with the Bronx Bombers. This Spring, however, has been an abysmal one for the 36-year-old veteran. He's surrendered 10 runs in 11 innings of work, but while getting routinely torched might worry his manager, that appears to be far from the truth. Yankees skipper Aaron Boone stated that he "liked" what he was seeing from Happ, a reinforcing vote of confidence. The Yankees are, after all, depleted in their starting rotation, with both Luis Severino and CC Sabathia set to start the season on the injured list. Expect Happ to be the club's number three starter to kick off the new season.
