6 years agoNew York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said that free-agent outfielder Bryce Harper isn't a fit for the team. The Yankees already have six outfielders that will compete for spots in spring training, and playing Harper at first base isn't realistic. You can never count the Yankees out, but they do have a surplus of outfielders and would rather sign free-agent shortstop Manny Machado and another starting pitcher. Harper had a bit of a down year in 2018 but could easily bounce back and will once again be a first-round fantasy pick in 2019 drafts no matter where he ends up.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
