Yankees Hoping Luis Severino Can Return In 2-3 Weeks
2 years agoThe New York Yankees are hopeful that starting pitcher Luis Severino (lat) will be back in their starting rotation within the next two to three weeks, according to manager Aaron Boone. Severino is slated to start a minor-league rehab assignment with High-A Tampa later this week, and barring any setbacks down on the farm, he should rejoin the Yankees' rotation in the middle of May. Before being activated from the 15-day injured list, the 29-year-old right-hander is expected to make at least two rehab starts. Injuries have been an issue for the two-time All-Star, but he has ace potential for fantasy managers when he's healthy, so he needs to be stashed in all formats with his 2023 debut just around the corner.
