6 years agoThe New York Yankees and starting pitcher Luis Severino have engaged in contract talks, but no deal is close yet. Severino's salary arbitration has yet to be heard. The rising right-hander requested $5.25 million for the 2019 season, while the Yanks are offering $4.4 million. The soon-to-be 25-year-old has big upside as one of the most dominant young pitchers in baseball. He went 19-8 with a 3.39 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 220 strikeouts in 191 1/3 innings (32 starts) for the Bombers last season. RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 11 fantasy pitcher going into 2019.
