Yankees Have Interest In Michael Conforto
3 years agoThe New York Yankees were among the teams showing interest in free-agent outfielder Michael Conforto before the lockout. With the lockout set to end on Thursday, Conforto could soon find a home, but it remains to be seen if it will be with the Yankees. The 29-year-old struggled to the tune of a .232/.344/.384 slash line with 14 home runs and 55 RBI in 479 plate appearances over 125 games for the New York Mets last year. Conforto, who declined his qualifying offer before the lockout, still has upside in real life in fantasy, though. He has an OPS of .824 in his seven big-league seasons and could be a nice mid-round bargain selection in fantasy, depending on where he winds up on the open market. The Arizona Diamondbacks were also among the teams showing interest in Conforto before the lockout began.
