Yankees Get Positive News On Domingo German
5 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German (hip) had an MRI on Monday that came back “pretty good” and will receive a cortisone shot Tuesday, according to manager Aaron Boone. German was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday with a left hip flexor strain. After starting the season 9-1 with a 2.60 ERA in his first 10 starts, German has allowed 14 earned runs in 14 2/3 innings in the next three while battling through the hip flexor injury. Fantasy owners hope the time off to heal brings back the German from early on this season. Chance Adams is expected to fill German’s spot in the rotation, but Adams has not performed well enough thus far in his career to warrant consideration in most fantasy lineups.
