Yankees Close To Acquiring Zach Britton
6 years agoUpdating a previous story, the New York Yankees are close to finalizing a deal to land Baltimore Orioles closer Zach Britton in exchange for multiple prospects. Yankees infielder Brandon Drury is not included in the deal on the table. The Yankees also scratched pitching prospect Dillon Tate from his start at Double-A on Tuesday, so he could very well be included. While Britton has looked great in his last eight outings, this trade would be terrible for his fantasy value, as he'll likely just be a setup man to closer Aroldis Chapman in the Bronx. Brad Brach should close games now for Baltimore when Britton is inevitably traded. If Brach is on your waiver wire and you're desperate for saves, pick him up.
