Yankees Acquire Scott Effross
2 years agoThe New York Yankees announced in a tweet on Monday that the team acquired right-handed relief pitcher Scott Effross from the Chicago Cubs. The Yankees are sending pitching prospect Hayden Wesneski back to the Cubs. Effross has been nothing but effective so far for Chicago, logging a 2.66 ERA, a 2.19 FIP, 50 strikeouts, and 11 walks in 44 innings of work. He's also registered 13 holds and a save. The right-hander will provide the Yankees with some additional bullpen reinforcements . He'll join a late-inning mix that also includes Clay Holmes, Lucas Luetge, Wandy Peralta, and Aroldis Chapman.
