Yankees Acquire J.A. Happ For Brandon Drury, Billy McKinney
6 years agoThe New York Yankees have officially acquired Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ. The Yankees traded infielder Brandon Drury and outfield prospect Billy McKinney for Happ. All players have been informed of the trade. Both Happ and the Yankees have been linked to each other since trade rumors began to pick up, and the Yanks finally sealed the deal on Thursday. In less than a week the Bombers have added two quality left-handers to their pitching staff; first Zach Britton, and now Happ. While moving to Yankee Stadium’s hitter-friendly confines isn’t the best change of scenery for any starting pitcher, fantasy owners can expect Happ’s overall numbers to improve slightly, due to his experience in the American League East and the winning chances he will receive by being buoyed by an elite offense and bullpen.
