Yankees Acquire Clayton Andrews From Brewers For Joshua Quezada
10 months agoThe New York Yankees have acquired left-handed pitcher Clayton Andrews from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for minor-league right-handed pitcher Joshua Quezada. Andrews is now on the Yankees' 40-man roster and will participate in Spring Training as he looks to carve out a bullpen role at the major league level. The 27-year-old disappointed in his first taste of big league action last year, surrendering 11 runs over 3.1 innings of work. With that said, he fared better in the minors, amassing a .193 opponent batting average and 11.68 K/9. Heading back to Milwaukee is Quezada, a 19-year-old native of Nicaragua whom the Yankees signed in 2023. He amassed a 3.69 ERA, 9.32 K/9, and 3.50 BB/9 in the Dominican Summer League last year.
