St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina was one of only two Cardinals players to record multiple hits in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox. Molina went 2-for-4 with two singles, raising his batting average to .289 and his OPS to .869. Molina has been taking a completely different approach this season, as he's striking out far more than he ever has (almost double his career strikeout rate!), but also making much harder contact and barreling the ball when he does connect. He's outperformed most if not all of his preseason expectations up to this point.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina (knee) will remain sidelined for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 40-year-old catcher will miss his third game in a row due to right knee soreness. The organization does consider him day-to-day, so hopefully he can avoid a trip to the injured list. Andrew Knizner will cover behind the plate and bat eighth against left-hander Andrew Heaney on Friday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

The St. Louis Cardinals activated catcher Yadier Molina from the restricted list on Monday and optioned catcher Ivan Herrera to Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. The Cardinals also removed right-hander Ryan Helsley from the paternity list and placed him on the restricted list. Molina has been away from the team handling personal matters in Puerto Rico since Saturday, but he'll be available to begin the week and has returned to catching duties while batting eighth against Chicago Cubs left-hander Drew Smyly on Monday. The 40-year-old future Hall of Famer is limping to the finish line of an amazing career with St. Louis, as he's hitting just .222/.243/.283 with two home runs, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base in his 180 at-bats in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina was placed on the restricted list Saturday. According to Katie Woo of The Athletic, he is handling personal matters in Puerto Rico but is expected to return Monday against the Chicago Cubs. The 40-year-old has collected a hit in eight of his last 12 games. He is slashing .222/.243/.283 with two home runs, 12 RBI, 12 runs, and a stolen base over 54 games in 2022. Molina is mainly an option in two-catcher formats. Ivan Herrera was recalled from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina (hand, knee) made his first rehab appearance with the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds on Thursday. He had to be removed from the game midway through after he was hit in his left hand by a pitch. According to Matt Infield of Memphis's Action News 5, the general feeling amidst the Cardinals' organization is that Molina will be fine and that he avoided a serious injury. Infield also stated that there was optimism Molina could be back on the field for the next Redbirds game.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
