Yacksel Rios Moved To 60-Day Injured List
1 year agoThe Oakland Athletics moved right-hander Yacksel Rios (finger) to the 60-day injured list on July 8 to make room on the 40-man roster for prospect Freddy Tarnok. Rios underwent a procedure on Friday with Stanford vascular surgeon Dr. Jason Lee, but no update was given on a timetable for Rios' return. The 30-year-old reliever left his last outing against the New York Yankees on June 28 after feeling numbness in his right middle and index fingers that was the result of a circulatory condition known as Raynaud's Syndrome. At the very earliest, Rios won't be able to rejoin the A's bullpen until the end of August. The Puerto Rican hurler has allowed seven earned runs while walking six and striking out two in just 1 2/3 innings of work in 2023.
