Xzavion Curry Outrighted To Triple-A
3 mins agoAccording to Daniel Alvarez-Montes, Marlins right-handed pitcher Xzavion Curry has cleared waivers and been outrighted to Triple-A. Curry was also given an invite to spring training. Curry was designated for assignment earlier this week and is now expected to open the campaign with Triple-A Jacksonville. Last summer, the 26-year-old posted a 4.64 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP across 42 2/3 innings. While Curry showed stellar command with a 4.1 percent walk rate, he struggled to generate strikeouts as he tallied them at a poor 16.3 percent rate. He also generated a weak 5.07 xERA, which was well below the average marks. Curry may eventually earn the call back to the majors later in the season but should not be targeted in any fantasy formats as he will begin the season in the minor leagues.
