2 years agoIn a striker versus grappler matchup, the striker was able to pull out a razor-thin win on Saturday with Yan Xiaonan defeating Mackenzie Dern via majority decision (47-48, 47-48, 47-47). In 25 minutes of action, Xiaonan out-struck Dern by landing 113 significant strikes (151 total strikes) compared to that of Dern's 61 significant strikes. Dern did tally a much higher total strike count with 224, with much of that coming in the grappling segments of the contest. Xiaonan snapped her two-fight losing streak and got back into the win column against a very dangerous opponent.--Matt Bricker
