Xander Bogaerts Strikes Out Three Times On Friday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts has had a rough time at the plate this past week. In Friday's game against the Cleveland Indians, Bogaerts went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. Over four games this week, he has gone 1-for-17 with two walks and five strikeouts. The 28-year-old is in the midst of one of the best years of his career. Over 120 games, he's slashing .299/.368/.506 with 20 home runs, five stolen bases, 69 RBI and 76 runs. He ranks in the 91st percentile of the league in max exit velocity (113.6 mph). Look for him to shake off this brief slump soon.
