Xander Bogaerts Placed On COVID IL
3 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts (COVID) was officially placed on the COVID-19 injured list on Wednesday. Bogaerts was removed during Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays due to a positive COVID test. The 28-year-old is now the eighth Red Sox player to be placed on the COVID reserve list over the last few days, which includes Yairo Munoz who filled in for Bogaerts during Tuesday's game. Bogaerts could be quarantined for 10 days, so fantasy managers can keep a lookout for his return. Utility player Jonathan Arauz will fill in at shortstop and bat ninth in Wednesday's game.
