Xander Bogaerts Hits First Home Run In Loss
4 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with one run scored, two RBI and his first home run of the season in Monday's 7-4 loss against the Mets. The 27-year-old suffered an injury scare in the first inning while attempting to chase down a runner between second and third base, jamming his back, neck and hips on the play. Fortunately, Bogaerts finished the game without an issue and said he plans to play on Tuesday. Bogaerts and first baseman Mitch Moreland each posted a pair of RBI, resulting in the only offensive production in the loss. Bogaerts should be owned across all fantasy formats as one of the top players at his position in the shortened season.
