2 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman (ankle) was lifted from his start against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday after he was hit in the ankle by a comebacker. He immediately underwent X-rays after the incident and the X-rays came back negative. The team has classified his injury as a right ankle contusion. It's certainly good news that the X-rays didn't catch anything major for Gausman, but it's unclear at this point whether the ailment will cause him to miss any time.
