X-Rays Negative On George Springer's Hand
George Springer's right hand came back negative on Wednesday after he was removed from the game against the Chicago White Sox when he was hit by a pitch in his hand in the top of the third inning. The 33-year-old, the Blue Jays and Springer's fantasy managers dodged a bullet here, and he should be considered day-to-day heading into Friday's action. Before leaving the contest, Springer went 0-for-1 with a run scored, and he's now hitting just .216 on the season. Entering Wednesday's game, Springer was hitting .219 (21-for-96) with a double, three home runs, nine RBI and four stolen bases in 24 games. Hopefully, he'll get going at the plate more consistently soon.
