X-Rays Negative For Masataka Yoshida
1 year agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida (leg) exited Saturday's meeting against the Blue Jays. The 29-year-old took a fastball to his shin, courtesy of Toronto reliever Nate Pearson, and finished the game with two hits and an RBI in three at-bats. Fortunately, X-rays came back negative, although his status for Sunday's series finale is up in the air. Yoshida has played well this season, collecting 41 runs, 85 hits, nine homers, and 41 RBI while batting .305. Hopefully, the lingering soreness he's experiencing won't last long, and he'll be back as soon as possible. For now, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day.
