Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson (head) underwent x-rays Thursday after being hit in the eye in the batting cages, and the results came back negative, according to Alex Coffey of The Athletic. Olson was scratched from Thursday's lineup after an incident in the batting cages where a ball ricocheted and hit him in the eye. Manager Bob Melvin confirmed that there was no break found on the x-ray, "but he's got quite a shiner though." Consider Olson day-to-day for now, as Mitch Moreland will likely fill in at first until his return.--Michael
