Wyatt Langford To Be Shut Down 5-7 Days With Mild Oblique Strain
20 seconds agoTexas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford (oblique) is dealing with a "mild oblique strain," per manager Bruce Bochy and will be held out of baseball activities for the next five to seven days. Because it's a mild injury and it's early in spring training, the Rangers don't think it will affect Langford's status for Opening Day at the end of March. The injury shouldn't affect Langford's standing as RotoBaller's No. 15 fantasy outfielder for now unless he's delayed in camp or suffers a setback once he resumes baseball activities. The 23-year-old former fourth overall pick out of the University of Florida made his MLB debut in 2024 and more than held his own with a .253/.325/.415 slash line, 16 home runs, 74 RBI, 19 stolen bases and 74 runs scored in 134 games. He was especially hot in the final month of the season and is one of the best young power/speed outfielders in the game.
