Wyatt Langford Promoted To Triple-A
1 year agoThe Texas Rangers have promoted outfield prospect Wyatt Langford to Triple-A Round Rock after just 12 games with Double-A Frisco. The 2023 fourth-overall pick has performed incredibly in his first pro season, slashing .359/.471/.697 with 10 home runs, 29 RBI, and nine stolen bases through 39 games across Complex League, High-A, and Double-A baseball. In his 12-game stint with Frisco, Langford carried a mind-boggling .405/.519/.762. While it may be a move to give him more plate appearances after the end of the Double-A season, the 21-year-old is close to the majors and should be one of the first names taken off the board in dynasty First-Year Player Drafts.
