Wilyer Abreu Riding Pine Against Southpaw On Saturday
4 months agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Wilyer Abreu is out of the Red Sox lineup on Saturday night as they face off against left-hander Cody Bradford and the Texas Rangers. Boston has gotten great production out of Abreu and his 127 OPS+ but that's been by focusing on using him against right-handers. He hits for a .904 OPS against righties and just a .461 OPS against lefties. With Boston just two games back of a wild card spot, every at-bat will be important for them going forward and it's clear they are choosing to prioritize a platooning strategy. Rob Refsnyder will be getting the start in Abreu's place playing right field and batting second. Fantasy managers and DFS managers alike should ensure to have Refsnyder in their lineups as he's hitting for a .955 OPS against lefties.
