Wilyer Abreu Homers To Help Guide Red Sox Over Nationals
7 months agoBoston Red Sox rookie outfielder Wilyer Abreu hopes Saturday's solo homer in the 4-2 win over the Washington Nationals is a sign in the right direction. Abreu hit his third dinger of the season, tying the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third inning. It was just his fifth hit in May as he came into Saturday's play batting a paltry .190 in 23 at-bats. The 24-year-old will enter Sunday's series finale against the Nationals with a .284/.378/.480 slash line with three home runs, 14 RBI, 18 runs, and five stolen bases.
