Wily Peralta Fires Six Scoreless Innings Against Brewers
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Wily Peralta had a strong outing against his former team, the Milwaukee Brewers, on Tuesday. He pitched six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out five. He now has a 1.93 ERA over three starts this month, though Tuesday's outing was his first one that lasted over four innings. The veteran right-hander has been one of the Tigers' most consistent starting pitchers this season. Over 16 games (15 starts) on the year, Peralta has a 3.32 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP. He isn't pitching very deep into games and he has just a 15.3% strikeout rate to go along with a 1.7 K/BB ratio, but he's usable in fantasy in the right matchups. He'll make his next start against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday.
