Wily Peralta Allows One Run Against Twins On Sunday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Wily Peralta had another solid outing in Sunday's game against the Minnesota Twins. Peralta pitched five innings and allowed three hits, two walks and one earned run while striking out two. The only run he allowed came off of a fifth inning solo home run from Max Kepler. Peralta has made six appearances (including five starts) this year and he has a 2.08 ERA and 0.88 WHIP. His 3.54 xERA suggests that he's gotten a bit lucky so far. He also has an extremely low strikeout rate at just 17.1%. He should remain in the Tigers' rotation for as long as he continues to limit run production, but he isn't the most enticing waiver wire option for fantasy managers.
