Wilson Ramos Hits Second Home Run On Wednesday
4 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher Wilson Ramos hit his second home run in three days on Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins. It was a solo home run and his only hit in the game as he went 1-for-2 with a strikeout. Ramos has started five of the Tigers' six games so far this year and is slashing .250/.333/.688. He hit out of the five-spot on Opening Day, but Tigers manager A.J. Hinch has had him in the lower-third of the lineup ever since. Hinch likely wants a veteran presence near the back of the lineup. If Ramos remains in the lower-third of the lineup, it will limit his at-bats and his run production opportunities. Ramos has some solid value in two-catcher leagues and AL-only leagues, but he's fine to leave on the waiver wire in shallow leagues.
