Wilson Ramos Has Rehab Start Pushed Back
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays catcher Wilson Ramos (hamstring) had the start of his rehab assignment pushed back Saturday. He caught live batting practice on Saturday but his hamstring did not feel as good as hoped afterward, leading to the pushed back date. This is a big blow to the hopes of trading Ramos before the Tuesday trading deadline. Teams can still complete trades after the deadline but the player must pass through waivers and also is ineligible for the postseason with his new team. He's been out since the All-Star break but has been one of the best fantasy catchers in all of baseball with a .297 average, 14 home runs and 53 RBI.
