6 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Wilmer Font has been upgraded to a true starter by the team. He will make his next start Friday versus Houston. Font's last two starts were against the mighty Bronx Bombers and he responded by going 10 1/3 innings, allowing only one run combined. Font played for Oakland and the Dodgers in 2018 before getting to the Rays. He struggled mightily in those two stops, but with the Rays he has provided positive numbers. He is becoming interesting in deeper leagues and probably should be picked up in many AL-only formats.--Jamie Mellor
