Wilmer Flores Takes A Seat Thursday
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants infielder Wilmer Flores is on the bench for Thursday afternoon's contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks and right-hander Brandon Pfaadt. The versatile veteran is enjoying the best season of his big-league career and has been on a tear of late. For the season, Flores is hitting .305 with 14 home runs and a .905 OPS across 79 games while he's collected a hit in each of his last six games with nine hits, including two doubles and a homer, across his last four contests. The 31-year-old has long been one of the league's better hitters against left-handed pitching and that hasn't changed this season with a .342 average, .952 OPS, and a .404 wOBA versus southpaw pitching.
