The Carolina Panthers signed former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Willie Snead IV to their practice squad on Wednesday, according to a source. Snead was released by Las Vegas on Tuesday and quickly finds a home. The Panthers also added former New York Jets second-round receiver Devin Smith to the practice squad on Wednesday. Rookie wideout Terrace Marshall Jr. (concussion) is in danger of missing another game in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons, but Snead and Smith will just be providing receiving depth behind D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, rookie Shi Smith and Alex Erickson. Snead can continue to be ignored in all fantasy formats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Willie Snead IV has been elevated from the practice squad ahead of the Week 10 matchup versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. The veteran wideout has made two appearances for the 49ers this season. During that span, Snead has been held to one catch for nine yards in 2023. He is mainly being elevated as depth for the 49ers. It's unlikely that Snead sees heavy involvement in the offense. That being said, fantasy managers can avoid Snead ahead of this Week 10 matchup.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Willie Snead IV has been promoted to the active roster on Saturday. This news comes with wideouts Jauan Jennings (shin) and Deebo Samuel (knee, ribs) both uncertain to play. That being said, Snead could end up seeing some playing time if one of both of these receivers are sidelined. The 30-year-old was with the 49ers last season, so he is familiar with the system. Despite that, it's unlikely that Snead has much if any fantasy value for this Week 4 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Willie Snead IV has been elevated to the active roster ahead of the Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. This doesn't come as a surprise with Deebo Samuel (hamstring) out and Jauan Jennings (hamstring) listed as questionable for this contest. The 30-year-old has seen success in the past, but Snead hasn't caught a pass this season. That being said, he won't be a recommended fantasy option in any formats. The 49ers have other options on offense, so it's unlikely that Snead gets heavily involved.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

The San Francisco 49ers promoted wide receivers Willie Snead IV and Malik Turner and running back Tevin Coleman from the practice squad to the active roster for Monday night's game against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. Snead and Turner will be battling for a depth role among the likes of Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk on Monday night. Meanwhile, Coleman will provide depth to a banged-up Niners backfield with Elijah Mitchell (knee) on Injured Reserve and rookie Tyrion Davis-Price (ankle) out for another week. Jeff Wilson Jr. will remain the team's primary back against the Rams, with rookie Jordan Mason and Marlon Mack behind him.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
