Willie Cauley-Stein Just Misses Double-Double Versus Warriors
7 years agoSacramento Kings center Willie Cauley-Stein finished two rebounds short of his 11th double-double of the season on Saturday, ending a 112-96 loss to the Warriors with 12 points and eight rebounds. He played 24 minutes and shot 6-for-10 from the floor. Willie Cauley-Stein has now scored in double figures in four consecutive games, averaging 10 field goal attempts per game. He's a consistent scorer around the rim, so it's no surprise he's having a good run at the moment points-wise. His work on the glass still needs some improvement, but he has a good matchup to get some practice on Sunday, as the Kings play the Lakers, who are allowing opponents grab 44.7 rebounds per game this season, which is the seventh-highest mark in the league. Cauley-Stein was an 18-point, 15-rebound monster in the last meeting between these teams.
