Vegas Golden Knights center William Karlsson will be in the lineup for Game 1 against the Kings on Wednesday, even though he missed the morning skate. David Perron (undisclosed) took line rushes on the first line instead of Karlsson, but he has been ruled out by head coach Gerard Gallant. Karlsson finished third in the Rocket Richard trophy race for the league's top goal scorer, netting 43 times. The 25-year-old Swede had a great record against the Kings during the regular season, scoring three goals in four games while collecting four points in total. Reilly Smith and Jonathan Marchessault will skate alongside him on the top line and the first power-play unit.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Vegas Golden Knights center William Karlsson (lower body) practiced in a full-contact jersey on Tuesday and could be an option for Thursday's tilt against the Boston Bruins. The Swedish veteran has been out for 20 games due to a lower-body injury. Before getting hurt in January, Karlsson posted seven goals and 18 points in 38 appearances. It has been an underwhelming campaign for Karlsson after he went for 30 goals and 60 points in 70 games last season. On Tuesday, Karlsson skated on the third line with Reilly Smith and Nicolas Roy. He will also operate on the second power-play unit when he is ready to return.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Vegas Golden Knights center William Karlsson (lower body) is not close to returning to the lineup. Thursday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets will mark his fifth consecutive absence, and Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy has announced that Karlsson will not be traveling with the team for an upcoming three-game road trip. This means Karlsson will not hit the ice with Vegas until after the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament. Additionally, the team remains without Cole Schwindt (lower body), which provides playing opportunities for Raphael Lavoie and Cal Burke. Operating in the bottom six, the two do not have fantasy value.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Vegas Golden Knights center William Karlsson (lower body) will exit the lineup on Thursday against the St. Louis Blues and will not make a quick return. The team announced that Karlsson is considered week-to-week with a lower-body injury. The Swedish forward was placed on Injured Reserve. Cole Schwindt (lower body) has also landed on Injured Reserve, and Brett Howden (illness) is a game-time decision for Thursday, so the team must make several changes to the lineup. Tanner Laczynski and Brendan Brisson have been called up from the minors and may play significant roles in Thursday's contest.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Vegas Golden Knights center William Karlsson (personal) will re-enter the lineup on Wednesday against Colorado. He was unavailable for Monday's matchup against Philadelphia due to a personal issue. An undisclosed injury delayed Karlsson's season debut, limiting him to 13 appearances in 2024-25. He's posted four goals and 10 points. Considering his situation, Karlsson has done well, but he enters Wednesday's action on a poor run. In his last eight appearances, Karlsson has gone scoreless six times. He will likely slot back into the third line, bumping Mason Morelli out of the lineup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
