1 year agoVegas Golden Knights forward William Carrier (upper body) will not be in the starting lineup for Thursday's contest on the road against the San Jose Sharks. Carrier sustained an upper-body injury in Tuesday's season opener versus the Seattle Kraken and did not travel with the club to San Jose. The 28-year-old enjoyed a career year in the 2022-23 season, notching 16 goals and 25 points across 56 games while also skating a career-high 12:35 per game. Prior to departing Tuesday's contest, Carrier played just 5:09 but put three shots on goal and took a holding penalty. Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy said Carrier is still being looked at and a timetable for his return is uncertain at this point.--Brenton Kemp
