2 years agoWilliam Byron sneaked into the top-five in qualifying on Saturday night with a time of 13.596 seconds. That gets him to the front of Heat 4 on Sunday afternoon with a great chance to easily qualify for the main event. The top-five drivers from each of the four heats automatically advance. Byron was consistent in practice turning in times between 13.45 and 13.5 seconds. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver finished sixth last year with his No. 24 car. Night conditions seemed to help Byron and the other Chevy drivers. Nine of the top 12 drivers were in Chevy's. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
