William Byron Finds A Way To End Up Fourth At Darlington
4 years agoWilliam Byron deserves a good deal of credit on Sunday as he almost willed his Hendrick Motorsports Racing car to a fourth-place result. It was thought that Byron might fade late in the race but he did not. The driver was ninth after Stage 1 but moved upward to third after Stage 2. It was the final run, which was clean of cautions, that caused Byron to lose a position. Considering the expectation was that the No. 24 would lose many more, this was almost a victory.
