In addition to not missing a cut in any event this year and three top-25s, Will Zalatoris has excelled in his career at Augusta National. He has three top-10 finishes in his four starts and withdrew in 2023 due to injury. Players must excel from tee-to-green, which Zalatoris has excelled at this season. He averages 0.836 strokes gained from tee-to-green per round, which ranks 24th on tour. He's also above average in strokes gained around the green with 0.073 per round, which ranks 80th. Zalatoris is finally heading into this week's Masters fully healthy and looks to have a great chance to compete. He is a strong, high-upside DFS play this week.

Normally saying Will Zalatoris is playing consistent is good. However, the American golfer has not truly contended in any tournament so far this year. He is 6-for-6 at making cuts yet has no Top 10 results. Zalatoris has placed in the Top 25 three times though. Putting has been patchy for Zalatoris but his putts per round on Fridays and Sundays have been below average. He averaged 29.83 putts per round in those cases which makes it more challenging to win. The books think Zalatoris can contend (+2500 via DraftKings). However, it may be wise to aim for a Top 20 perhaps at +110 instead. Zalatoris does not have the form shown at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Will Zalatoris finished T22 at last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational, marking his second consecutive top-25 finish and fourth for the season. He has yet to miss the cut in any of the six tournaments he has played in this year and will aim to maintain that streak when he tees it up at TPC Sawgrass for this week's The PLAYERS Championship. Zalatoris has had mixed results at this tournament in previous years. He missed the cut in 2024, finished 73rd in 2023, and placed T26 in 2022. Over the past 12 months, Zalatoris ranks in the 67th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 100-150 yards in the fairway. This is noteworthy because over 32% of approach shots at last year's The PLAYERS Championship came from this distance. Although Zalatoris has been in excellent form, his past results at this tournament make him a risky choice for DFS lineups this week.

Golf fans will likely remember Will Zalatoris' performance at the Genesis Invitational last year. Not only did the 28-year-old Tour star finish runner-up to Hideki Matsuyama, but he also made an incredible hole-in-one on the par-3 14th hole at The Riviera Country Club to win himself and his caddie new cars. While this year's tournament will be played at Torrey Pines, he could be in line for another spectacular week. At the South Course, golfers will see tight fairways and some of the smallest greens on Tour, and Zalatoris ranks 13th in driving accuracy and eighth in greens in regulation so far this season. He's also had great results at the Farmers Insurance Open in the past, finishing T13 in 2024, runner-up in 2022, and T7 in 2021, and he notoriously raises his baseline in difficult scoring conditions. Zalatoris profiles as a cut-maker with top-10 upside at this week's Genesis Invitational, and he may very well find himself in contention for his second Tour victory come Sunday evening.
