2 years agoAfter a serious back injury that sidelined him for the last several months of 2022, Will Zalatoris returned to action in January. His results have been all over the board, as an unexpected missed cut at the Farmers Insurance Open was followed by a top-five result at the Genesis Invitational. The volatile output continued for Zalatoris in last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational, as he squeaked through the 36-hole cut but tallied an underwhelming T53 at Bay Hill. His erratic play makes him tough to trust in this week's Players Championship, though a pair of top-26 finishes in his two career starts at TPC Sawgrass are encouraging.
