Smith has enjoyed a strong season at the plate so far, batting .257 with a .348 on-base percentage, 22 home runs, and a stolen base in 526 plate appearances. The Dodgers will go with Austin Barnes at catcher instead on Tuesday. The veteran is batting .214 with a .322 on-base percentage, seven home runs, and a pair of stolen bases in 181 plate appearances.
