Will Josh Berry’s Disappointing Start To 2024 Continue Sunday At Bristol?
9 months agoAfter a disappointing practice session, Josh Berry bounced back by qualifying second for Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Speedway. To say that Berry's rookie season is off to a rough start is an understatement. In the first four races of 2024, he has yet to finish in the top 20, which is shocking given the success we have come to expect from the No. 4 car. In order to break his cold streak and perform well in his home state of Tennessee this weekend, Berry must maintain the same speed he demonstrated during qualifying or else it will be another disappointing day for the 33-year-old. While Berry did look amazing last season at Richmond, his lone Cup Series start on a short track (Bristol Dirt excluded), his overall history on Bristol's concrete is underwhelming. In three Xfinity starts, he has an average starting position of 6.3, but an average finish of 26. If he has this much trouble in an Xfinity car, it is unlikely that he will perform any better in the NextGen car, which is why you should limit your exposure to him this weekend in DFS.
