Will Joey Logano's Momentum Continue This Weekend At Texas?
8 months agoOn Saturday afternoon, Joey Logano qualified 20th for the Auto Trader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. After starting with four finishes of 28th or worse in the first five races of the season, Logano has finished in the top 11 three consecutive weeks, signaling a drastic turnaround from where he was just a month ago. Despite only averaging 26.08 points on DraftKings in the eight regular season races this year, the Team Penske star has appeared in the DraftKings optimal lineup in each of the last three races, which ties him for the most appearances in 2024. In addition to his recent success, another reason to be excited for the two-time Cup champion this weekend is his solid history at this track. In 28 starts in Fort Worth, the 33-year-old has a victory (2014), a runner-up finish in the Next Gen Car (2022), and 12 top-five finishes (43% of his starts), which is the second most among active drivers in the Cup Series. While his 21st place finish at this track last season is a reminder that he is by no means a lock heading into this race, his recent performances this year and his past performances at this venue are enough to justify having some exposure to the No. 22 in DFS this weekend.
