Will Harris Allows One Run In Second Appearance
4 years agoWashington Nationals reliever Will Harris (hand inflammation) allowed one run in just his second outing of the season during the club's 11-4 victory over the New York Yankees. The veteran reliever gave up a two-out RBI single to Gary Sanchez after Aaron Hicks, on base due to a walk, took second on defensive indifference. Not at all a threat to closer Brad Hand, Harris is just continuing to build up arm strength while facing live hitters in low-leverage situations. A consistent fantasy presence since 2015, Harris has had a combined 2.40 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and 9.61 K/9 over the past six years. Not yet a fantasy contributor, Harris is a player to keep an eye on especially in leagues that value strikeouts and holds. With the upcoming games against the Phillies, Diamondbacks, Cubs, and Orioles, Harris could find himself in some high-leverage spots sooner rather than later.
