Will Daniel Hemric's Recent Success Continue This Weekend At Kansas?
7 months agoComing off back-to-back top 10 finishes at Talladega and Dover, Daniel Hemric will look to build off this momentum on Sunday when he starts 33rd in the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. As a driver who failed to crack the top 20 in six straight races this season, his recent success should serve as a much-needed confidence boost for the Kaulig Racing star. The question now becomes which Daniel Hemric should we expect to see this weekend in Kansas? Specifically, will we see the driver who was not on the lead lap for the conclusion of five races this season, or will we see the driver who earned his way into the DraftKings optimal lineup just one week ago? Although we would typically turn to track data to help address these questions, given that he has not run a Cup race at this track since 2019, the data we have to go off of is limited. While he does have seven Xfinity starts at this venue, those results are mixed, as he has two top-fives but an average overall finish of 13.3, which includes a 34th-place finish in his most recent start last fall. Nevertheless, despite the limited and inconsistent data that is available on the former Xfinity Series champion, his salary is just $5,500 on DraftKings this weekend. Considering he only needs to finish 23rd to hit value, Hemric should be considered one of the top value plays on the slate, a driver you should have some exposure to when building your DFS lineups on Sunday.
