5 months agoThe Cleveland Guardians activated outfielder Will Brennan (rib cage) from the 10-day injured list on Thursday and optioned infielder Gabriel Arias to Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move. Brennan is starting in right field for the Guardians on Thursday and will bat seventh against the division-rival Detroit Tigers and right-hander Jack Flaherty in the series finale. The 26-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder figures to return to the strong side of a platoon in right field for Cleveland now that he's recovered from rib-cage inflammation. The former eighth-round pick in 2019 from Kansas State will return to a .256/.314/.414 slash line with a .730 OPS, eight home runs, 24 RBI and 28 runs scored in 207 at-bats this year, making him worthy of a roster spot in AL-only leagues with the first-place Guardians.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
