Wil Myers To Begin Rehab Assignment Tuesday
Wil Myers (knee) will begin a rehab assignment at Single-A Lake Elsinore on Tuesday. The 31-year-old has been on the injured list with right knee inflammation since early June. Prior to the injury, he was struggling to produce at the plate. Over 32 games this year, he's slashed .234/.276/.306 with just one home run to go along with 19 RBI and 13 runs. If he can avoid any setbacks, we're likely to see him back in the majors right after the All-Star break.

Wil Myers Officially Released
Wil Myers has been officially released by the organization on Friday. The 32-year-old was designated for assignment earlier this week, but will now become a free agent. Originally, the Reds signed Myers to a one-year. $7.5 million deal this past offseason. Sadly, Myers struggled hitting only .189 with three home runs and 12 RBI in 35 games with the Reds. At the end of the day, the Reds had better internal options, so they decided to let Myers go. He has a good track record, so Myers should be able to catch on elsewhere.

Wil Myers Activated From Injured List, Designated For Assignment
Wil Myers (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and then designated him for assignment. It's been a tough season for the rapidly declining Myers, as he dealt with kidney stones before also landing on the injured list with a left-shoulder sprain. In 37 games in his first year in Cincinnati, Myers has hit a lowly .189/.257/.283 with three doubles, three home runs, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored in 141 plate appearances. The 32-year-old has fallen far since making his only All-Star appearance in 2016 with the San Diego Padres. If Myers clears waivers, he could be sent to Triple-A Louisville to work on his approach at the plate. Myers should be on the waiver wire at this point in most fantasy leagues.

Wil Myers Still Experiencing Shoulder Pain, Could Undergo MRI
Wil Myers (shoulder) is no longer dealing with a kidney stone which forced him onto the injured list, but is still dealing with shoulder pain from a left shoulder strain, per manager David Bell. The 32-year-old may undergo an MRI in Cincinnati. Myers was an intriguing late-round fantasy pick this season after joining the Reds but has slashed just .189/.257/.283 with three home runs, 12 RBI, and two stolen bases in 141 plate appearances.

Wil Myers Goes On 10-Day Injured List
Wil Myers (kidney) on the 10-day injured list on Friday with kidney stones and recalled outfielder Will Benson from the minors in a corresponding move. Myers missed the previous two games, and now we know why. The 32-year-old has really struggled so far in his first year in Cincinnati, hitting a miserable .189 (24-for-127) with three doubles, three home runs, 12 RBI, two stolen bases and 48 strikeouts in 141 plate appearances over 37 games. When Myers is ready to return, there's no guarantee he'll see regular playing time in Cincy's outfield. Stuart Fairchild is getting another start on Friday in right field and will be the beneficiary of more playing time while Myers is sidelined.
