Wil Myers Feels Comfortable Taking a Step Back From Leadership Role
7 years agoAccording to a story from the San Diego Union Tribune, San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers is "happy to have ceded the mantle and the burden of Padres leadership to Eric Hosmer." With Hosmer becoming the leader in the clubhouse, Myers should be able to step back and focus more on his performance on the field. Last year, Myers hit .328 with a career-high 30 HR along with 20 steals, and he should have similar numbers in 2018. Fantasy owners should take advantage of his first base eligibility while it lasts, as he moves to the outfield with the signing of Hosmer.
