Wil Myers Exits With Thumb Soreness On Tuesday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers (thumb) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. Myers re-aggravated a right thumb injury in the fifth inning of the game when he hit an inside fastball for a bloop single. The 31-year-old first injured his thumb back on April 12, but it was more swollen this time around. According to Padres manager Bob Melvin, Myers will be out on Wednesday and likely won't play Thursday as well. It sounds like a stint on the injured list could even be possible for him. However, we should know more about his timeline after the team reevaluates him on Wednesday.
