Wil Crowe Holds Red Sox To One Run
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates pitcher Wil Crowe held the Boston Red Sox to just one run over 3.2 innings on Sunday. The young right-hander is looking to secure a spot in the rebuilding club's starting rotation to open the year. Crowe was acquired from the Washington Nationals back in December as part of the modest return for first baseman Josh Bell. The former second-round draft pick is having a solid spring with just one run allowed over 9.2 innings of work. Crowe has an outside shot at securing a starting role or opening the year as a long-man out of the bullpen. Either way, he has a modest ceiling and projects as more of a No. 4/5 starter in the long run and should only be in play in deep fantasy leagues.
